Preventing Burnout

A healthy workforce is essential to productivity and can reduce costs associated with burnout, turnover, and absenteeism. Integrating wellness into the workplace culture can result in healthier and happier employees. 


I work with companies and nonprofit organizations to improve employee wellbeing. Having worked in the nonprofit social services sector for many years, I know how stressful the work can be. Staff who are drawn to these careers are passionate about helping others, but they also need support in prioritizing their self-care in order to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue.

Programs & Services

Workplace Wellness Assessments

I conduct employee surveys to determine organizational needs (these can be tailored to assessing overall health, stress, compassion fatigue and/or burnout) then provide the organization with a detailed report of findings and recommendations. Based on this information, I can assist the organization in developing and implementing an employee wellness program that addresses the team's needs.

Employee Workshops

 I offer a variety of interactive workshops that provide information, strategies, and tools for stress management, self-care, preventing burnout and compassion fatigue, trauma-informed care, and more. Currently, all workshops are available virtually, but as pandemic precautions allow, they can also be offered in person at work sites. Check out the "Workshops" tab for more information.

6-Week Employee Wellbeing Program

Based on work-related stress surveys I conducted with human services employees, I developed, implemented, and evaluated a program called "From Chronic Stress to Consistent Self-Care".  Results from the pilot showed a 40% reduction in perceived stress and a 30% reduction in symptoms of burnout.
